Well, finally got my hands on the thing today. It is only a 40 AH. But got a charge on the fly 12 to 36 charger with it. We will see. I’m figuring I need 100+ AH on a long day, but I’m gonna toss it into the mix with my group 31 lead acids that have been going 8 plus. Said take it and try it, let me know. Said bass fisherman is also one who signs my paycheck, so have to be, umm, a little political with this.

Do not parallel that battery with lead acids. It will be constantly discharging trying to charge the lead acids. (It will be at 40v while the lead acids are 37-38v)

Just use the lithium and put the others on a battery bank switch as backup. I bet you dont use the lead acids ever again. I bet your 8 year old 31 lead acids have less available runtime than the 40ah lithium.

No Sir, was not going to parallel.
Going to sit it in and see how long it’ll run me, and be ready to switch back over. I’m guessing 4-5 hours, but won’t know till I try. My lead acids are I think on third season, but I haven’t fished much the first two. They held up 8 solid hours of 1.7 mph last time out, and still stowed the ulterra, so? I’m a little leery of even paralleling it with another lithium of different brand and age. If it turns out useful, will probably go with Anderson connectors and just switch swap between them.

Finally got on the water to try it out.
It was windy enough that I made downwind runs only. But it pushed my barge 1.7 mph, prop speed on 5-6 for 5 1/2 hours. My first experience with running a lithium flat.
Going fine one second, then POOF
Ipilot remote says motor not found the next. But told me what I wanted to know. 40 ah, 5 1/2 hrs, I think I’m pulling around 7 1/2 amps at that speed?

Boss walked through while ago, I asked how much he wanted for it, I liked it. He says buy me some beers sometime. Despite the craziness around here sometimes, I have a boss that’s very good to me.

Yessir. He specified craft beer at the local pub. But I know him, he never slows down long enough to do that. He likes Stella Artois, so I see me picking up and delivering a quantity of that as a thank you down payment.
