    Default Lowrance Active Target 2

I really love forward facing sonar and have used it since it first came out. Currently using Lowrance Active Target 2. I've had all 3 brands AT2 works best for me and my style of fishing. I love to cast to open water suspended crappie. For me AT2 has the clearest picture with less weak zones than the other 2 brands. Garmin's LVS34 is good but really cluttered and has more weak zones than AT2 IMO.
Last trip I caught 6 fish over 14" as well as some othets, no fish under 12". I've gotten pretty good at judging fish size with AT2 which I could never do with Garmin after some of their updates.
It seems Lowrance Active Target doesn't get allot of love but for me it has been great!

Great job. I'm still learning mine. How do you identify single fish as crappie?

Usually they are sitting still where most other fish seem to constantly moving. Don't get me wrong, some of the moving fish are definitely crappie but much easier to put a bait on the ones sitting still or barley moving. Usually a crappie gives a more round appearance as it gets closer while other fish tend to appear longer.
