    Default Another Battery Question

Going to need trolling batteries soon. Want to switch to lithium. Have a 24v ultrex. What are the advantages/disadvantages of doing 1 x 24v 100ah battery versus 2 x 12v 100 amp hour batteries in series?

    TIA for all responses

Right now I have 2 12-volt deep cycle batteries to power my 24-volt Ultrex. I like having 2 separate 12-volt batteries as this lets me just use one 12-volt to power my twin Minn Kota trolling motors I'm using as brakes for Livescope fishing while still supplying 24 volts to my Ultrex. I wouldn't be able to do this with a dedicated 24-volt battery. I do have a 100 AH lithium battery to supply my 2 1222s and black boxes and my 943 XSV in the dash.

I recently bought 2 Impulse 12v100ah batterys to run my 24v Ultrex. I have a 188. I bought too much battery. On a normal day I can fish 7hrs and use less than 15%. Both batterys are Bluetooth. If I were doing over I would stepdown 1 size and still have plenty of battery capacity

I also am using a Ranger 188P. My trolling batteries are still just the regular deep cycles that came with the boat. Will go to lithiums some day I'm sure.

With my 125's, I can get 14 to 16 hours pulling cranks, no problem.
