    Default Helix 15 or 12

I’m trying to decide between a Helix 12 or 15. This will be a console mounted unit and my concern is that the pixel count on the 15 is the same as the 12. Will there be a difference in the screen clarity viewing the 15 up close? Can anyone give any advise on the 15? Or would I be better off just getting the 12?

    Thanks for any help

If you have the budget for the 15, personally, I’d buy the 12 to use for imaging and use the extra money to buy a helix 8 to use for mapping and link them together to share waypoints. Should come out about the same total cost that way.

Go with the 15. I have a 10 on top of my 15 and the screen size difference is amazing. I do have old eyes. Contact Brian at BBG once you decide to purchase, he will treat you right. He can also answer any questions you may have.

I've had both. I'd go with the 15.
    I use to use a 10 and a 12.
    Sold the 10 and got a 15.
Tried using both the 12 and the 15 but it was too much. Hard to see and drive.
Now just using the 12. I like it allot.
It has double the amount of presents so I can set up and switch views very quickly.
I don't notice any difference in image quality between the 12 and the 15.
Running down the lake I use map and 2D.
Finding my spot I mainly use map, down, and SI. Plenty big on the 15 for this IMO.
I can quickly switch to just down or SI if I want a more detailed view.Name: S00050.jpg

Those are some great screenshots Mr Roy.

I’ll get the 15 ordered and on the way. I’ve been using Gen 1 units until now. Looks like there has been some major improvements from what I had.

    Thanks Men

Yes, and a site sponsor as well. He has a website, but when ready to purchase, call him for his best price. Some manufacturers will not allow a lower price than list to ba advertied.
