    Default Livescope not allowed

Not what you're thinking Livescope not allowed

Just wondering what people's favorite is. When looking for fish on structure do you prefer traditional 2D or down imaging ?
    I lean towards DI myself.

I agree... SI to locate first. Then when I get to the structure located by the SI I switch to Down imaging to see the structure and the fish. Just my way out of many ways to do it.

2d advantage is pin pointing the structure under the boat to re-adjust a “mis-marked” waypoint ...

DI advantage is to see what’s in that structure once 2d has it pin pointed ...

In my Sonar seminars I use the analogy of an electrician in describing the unique use of each Sonar technology ...

An electrician goes to work with several different types of screw drivers (each with a specific purpose) ...

Thus, each Sonar technology is best utilized for specific purpose ... SI for finding stuff out to the side / 2d for pin pointing that stuff / DI for looking inside that stuff ...

When I'm searching new areas or just looking for baitfish 2d for sure. When searching for stuff I know is there i use SI/DI in tandem.
