    Default Cracked screen repair?

Anybody know of anyone that will repair/replace the screen glass on a Garmin 8616? I've called several places but cant seem to find anybody that will do it, and of course Garmin says I'll just have to buy a new unit..... Thanks in advance for any info!

I’d get on the phone or internet and start checking places that replace phone screens. There has to be someone who can get cut and install a screen on one.

Garmin did a trade in deal when my buddy broke his 93sv,seems like it was a reasonable pride, but its been over a yr ago so maybe they have changed there policy

Just happened to think of this. I’d call Russell Marine and talk to those guys. They are big into all electronics selling and installing. I’m sure they have run into this problem several times. If anybody knows they should.

Appreciate the help guys but I feel like I've exhausted all my options and it looks like buying a new unit is the only fix. I've been 100% pleased with Garmin's customer service so far but I gotta say, its disappointing they have no options for their customers when it comes to a cracked screen. Accidents happen. Careful with them screens boys! Thanks again

How did it crack? Might save others from doing it, if we knew how it happened.
