Garmin shortfall
Although I love my Garmin 8610xsv with my current LVS 32 I cannot be happy with the roll out of the new LVS 34. Hyped for months now I could not keep from what I thought was an upgrade. Brian at BBG Marine is the go-to guy so I promptly sent him my money. He took prepaid orders until the “release” date moved a second time. Seems the big box stores will get priority and the smaller homegrown and local businesses are down the totem pole. My opinion, but, Garmin does their company no favors with big marketing and little product release. If they cannot furnish their product in a timely manner perhaps they should wait just a bit to tout how good it is. Yes, marketing is important but fulfilling the expectations of their customers should be in the running. Just my 2 cents and thanks for letting me rant (smile). By the way, I am giving my LVS 32 away to a fantastic soldier. Unfortunately, he has to wait for Garmin to send me my LVS 34.

Garmin is worlds ahead of Humminbird on product availability. Humminbird has almost no product available in retail stores.
