Default Uploading Lowrance Gen 3 way points to a Hummingbird Helix 4gn

I'm changing out my electronics and I don't have a PC. I always use a mac. I had no problems moving waypoints to my new Garmin but am having a hard time finding the way to transfer from a gen 3 Lowrance to a new Helix 4gn. Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Don

GPSBabel: convert, upload, download data from GPS and Map programs

Gpsbabel seems to work more reliably converting from Lowrance GPX or Lowrance version 2 ...

After the format is converted to Humminbird (hwr) ...

*Create a folder on the SD Card labeled “MATRIX” (without the quotation marks) ...

*Copy and paste the hwr file converted in gpsbabel into this MATRIX folder ...

The Humminbird should now recognize the data and prompt to upload the Nav data ...

Note about the link I listed in the above post ...:

Be sure to click the Free Download button and not the Support Development button ... or any other button that looks like as ad ...

You should end up at a page that looks similar to this before downloading the exe for your computer operating system :
    Name: IMG_4946.jpg
Views: 143
Size: 34.5 KB

Those advertisements are very tricky in trying to get you to click on something you’re not really wanting to click on ...

If you’ve reached a page that wants money - you clicked an ad ... start over and get to the free download of gpsbabel ...

My Mac won't let me download the file because it can't ensure that there is no malware.

Go to settings: privacy and security. You can set it to allow the download.
