The GT54 transducer is not the latest and greatest transducer. It is still a very good UHD transducer, It is the transducer that is installed on the Garmin Force trolling motor. If you wanted the latest and greatest transducer the GT56 you could buy it separately and still save over $500 on normal retail price. The GT54 is shorter than the GT56 making it easier to mount on a trolling motor.

I looked but can't find a sku or unit in the 106 version. Can you send a link?

Don't know what to make of that. Ordered on my phone, the store that showed up as closest to me was in West Virginia, but I used the option to have it shipped to my home not to the store.

I know originally they were only selling the 106 in person at the Springfield location in conjunction with some event going on there. Saw on BBC boards that others were able to order online. My order says it is processing. Hopefully it actually ships.
