Got my 106 shipping notification for delivery tomorrow. Ordered GT56 off ebay from authorized Garmin seller for $405 delivered. Hopefully GT56 will include warranty since they are Garmin authorized seller. Will move my 126 from LS to console and use 106 for LS. I am all in for $1537 including tax and 20' networking cable. Maybe sell new unused GT54 for more savings.

Thanks for the heads up. I have been wanting to go this route for a while the 106 will be delivered Friday and the lsv34 bundle right after the first of May.

Be sure to register your transducer when you get it or they won't honor the warranty (well they do but it goes from when the ducer was manufactured). I had this issue with Garmin back in Dec, they said there's nothing they can do about it and if you do not have a receipt from a retail shop or online retailer they will only honor the warranty from the day it was made, which in my case made it out of warranty before I got it. After several back and forth emails and a call to talk to someone in garmin fishing who confirmed the transducer was defective (that I didnt break it), they eventually offered me $10 off a new one.

Very good but the range of the gt56 particularly in side imaging is much further and more detailed than the 54.
