    Default Hummingbird 899ci hd


    Have 899ci hd came with the standard SI transducer . Would getting the hd transducer show a significant difference and keep using it. Ot would I be better served getting a more recent unit..

    Using the XHS 9 HDSI 180 T on the 899 would definitely improve the image ...
    HD vs Compact transducer

    Newer units utilizing the higher MEGA frequency would give better images still ...

    Guess I'll get the hd transducer see if I can get more time outta the 899 then when I get another unit I'll have it..

    Also when I decided to upgrade will I be able to network the 899ci hd to the helix?
