Default Need advice on Livescope pole for boat??

I bought the Livescope Ice fishing bundle and now need to get it mounted onto my boat a Alumacraft 165 competitor with a full windshield. Intially I'm going to leave everything in the bag, and set it between the consoles but I need a pole to put the transducer on. Looked at Fishing Specialties and Summit poles but was hoping someone had some experience and advice, which pole is best?? Looking to mount it using the Alumatrac system on the right side of the console.

Some of the poles slide up and down, some you swing when you're moving, which is best? Are any of them strong enough to just leave on when you go down the road??

I don't want to mount it onto the trolling motor because I want to be able to also use Spotlock and on a windy day the trolling motor is moving all over....

    Thanks for the advice guys!!!

I'm not sure any of them your gonna wanna leave down. That's like leaving your trolling motor down. The Fishing Specialties seems pretty easy to just pull up and sit on floor. Not familiar with the Summit.

Buckeyecrappie, Thanks, a picture is worth a thousand words!!

I can see that you'd just slide it up when you're using your big motor to goto a different spot. How about when you go down the road, do you take it all the way out of the mount?? How hard is that??

There is a little black tab that slides over the black sleeve that sits down inside the mount. It rotates left and right. See picture.

I remove it completely and stow it on the deck.

I copied the shut up and fish Mount as a diy project.. the only downside to what I made is it's hard to get the pole perfectly plum in and out in left and right every time but you can deploy it and just raise when you want to move to another part of the lake you don't have to put it away every time.

I put mine on a pole that is mounted to bottom of trolling motor bracket. As it is in picture is how it rides down the road, The 90 fitting and stub piece come off so it is just the straight stick of pvc. It stows with the trolling motor. I sit with spot lock and The hose reaches back to my seat and I spin the hose to rotate the transducer shaft. Borrowed ideas from a bunch of different people. I have version 2.0 in the works that utilizes 1 inch OD stainless tube and a stainless pillow block and bearing that should be stronger and smoother to rotate.
