    Default Livescope Mounting Opinions

Do yall have any preferences on how/where you mount the transducer? Trolling motor shaft, Livesweep, Pole Mount Ect.? I currently am running a livesweep from cornfield crappie and am looking for opinions for other alternative mounting ways. Pros and Cons and what yall like about the way you have yours mounted.

Here are my thoughts. There are times when I want the transducer on the TM shaft, or at least turning with the TM. I use this when roaming for crappie. And I'm usually targeting single fish. But if I'm on a brush top with multiple fish on the top, I want to spot lock and I want the tranducer on a pole not turning with the TM. I want the TM earning its keep by keeping me in place and I want the tranducer pointed at the brushpile. As far as I know, and I've certainly not seen them all, All Aboard Marine is the only one that will do both.

I look at electronics this way. There is a tool for every job.
Side Imaging- Search for cover, structure, fish, etc. at about 5mph.
Down Imaging- Focus on what under me while fishing.
Mega 360- Once I find an area to explore in greater detail and maybe fish at less than 1mph. Spider rigging.
Mega Live- target specific fish on specific spots while stationary or less than 1mph.
    HOI Crappie Club
Where family and friends come to compete for a little more than bragging rights.

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!

How do you not spook fish with spot lock ? My experience has been when it kicks on fish scatter ? Depth maybe ? Are you casting to the brush top ? I was trying to sit above the brush and spook fish like crazy when Terrova kicks on . Could be water to clear as well .

So far its not been a problem. The lake I normally fish in is not clear. Its not terrible stained but def not clear. I try to set up about 15 to 18' away and i jig the spot with a 14' rod. The dept is 10' to 218'

Thats a pretty slick set up, seems very versatile. I hadn't seem that before but do like it. Thanks for the input
