Default Help Me Think This Through????

Problem: Livescope transducer on the TM or on a seperate pole? Which is best? We've all seen the pros and cons for this so I won't get into all the reason why which is best. Basicly, for me it comes down to, Am I chasing/casting to individual crappie or setting up on brush piles...

Solution: I have 2 LS, 2 black boxes. I would not have spent the extra money on another LS setup but I bought a different boat and ended up with a extra LS system. So instead of the forward/perspective setup I currently am running, thinking about running 2 systems, both in forward view. One LS xducer will be on the TM for chasing individual crappie and the other will be on a seperate pole for when I'm using the TM on spotlock, while it goes crazy back and forth, which is what I use for brush tops/structure crappie fishing. And when I have another fisherman up front with me, he could use the pole mount to do a little extra looking seperate of my TM crusing.

Sounds like the best of both to me. Whatcha think???? Am I missing anything???

    I don’t know.
I think if they are not both turned on at the same time it will work.
I think if both on at the same time you may get crosstalk? Ie how would each unit know which transducers sonar ping is who’s?
    Theoretically just a swag.

Hummm. You might be right. Won't cost nothing to try it I suppose. But I'm using forward and perspective at the same time now, both on the same All Aboard pole, forward on top and perspective Xducer right under it. All works fine.

Different. I won't ever give up my manual cable trolling motors I love the control to much, and that transducer will always be going back and forth. Would not work for me.
Mounted mine on a separate poll I can turn it like i want it with very little effort . Pinpoint while working in the wind, or current and trolling motor has to be in another direction.

OP here. After doing a little research, It looks like I can run 2 transducers, 1 on the TM and ! on a seperate pole. I can then plug both transducers to the GLS10. Havnt looked yet but I suppose there is a way to change to different transducers.

So when I'm chasing crappie between brush tops, I use the TM transducer. When I find a good, loaded up brush top, I spot lock on it and then switch my screen over to the pole transducer.

With the All Aboard motorized pole it will be the best of both worlds.

    Thoughts???
