I live just outside Fort Rucker so eufaula is as about as far north as I've traveled. Not saying that I wouldn't ever be up for a road trip

What are your settings in those pictures? And did you do anything with the dynamic contrast

Gen 2 unit and I normally have sensitivity at 11 and sharpness at low. I adjust contrast to give me a slightly darker background so the marks kinda stand out. I’ll adjust sensitivity to brighten to pic when in deep water over 35’.
The side imaging distance plays a huge role in making marks like crappie show up. Stripers show up very well on long range.
I use the format of trying to scan 50’ plus the depth of the water to get really good pics of school. So in 10’ of water I’ll have range at 60-65’. Don’t forget that the water depth is included in the range width.
For wider searches, I’ll run 80-100’ looking for structure and then circle back around to view again on a more narrow range to see detail.
And fort Rucker is a good distance to travel to WP.

I have the gen 4 helix 9 and 12. In order to get my images anywhere close to yours I have to take the sensitivity to a negative number most times. I'm going to try the sharpness on low instead of off and see if that helps any.

Don’t worry about what numbers are where and let your eyes tell you what looks clear. It all about interpreting what’s on the screen to help us find and hopefully catch fish.
And some days, the water just doesn’t cooperate and you won’t get a great SI or DI screen. Wind blown water is the worst. It’s full of air and just too soft to get a great screen. You’ll recognize it. It looks like the graph just went behind a outboard and it looks bubbly.

Going to make an attempt at getting on the water this weekend depending on what the weather has in store for us. If I can get any images worthy of a screenshot I will post my findings and see what everyone thinks based on the settings thank you for everyone who helped me out.

Good luck and be safe. High winds and thunderstorms projected for mid ga. My boat only gets wet on the outside so I’ll be wishing.

One thing I do with my SI is I run my chart speed faster as I don`t care to look at structure and only fish this will elongate any fish marks and make them easier to see.
