Thanks for taking the time to figure all these points, I was to lazy to do more than a couple points.

As a new user of Livescope I appreciate the graph which shows both the depth and the distance that my bait is fishing out in front of my transducer, but I was always lost when it comes to where my bait is located from side to side in the beam angle, since bait and fish can look like they are right on top of one another but could actually be quite a ways apart when it comes to the width. In an effort to get a more visible understanding I have listed the width of the beam in relationship to distance starting from the center point of the transducer and going forward. I was very surprised to learn that the width is actually very narrow, especially if you are one pole or spider rigging since you most likely would not be fishing no more than fifteen feet in front of the boat. These calculations are not exact since I have rounded up or down to the next whole number; but they should help to get a better visible understanding on the width that you are actually fishing in.
These calculations are based on a 20 degree beam angle, the first number is feet in front of transducer, the second number is the width of beam.
Distance to Width:
1' ft. - 0.4" inches
2' ft. - 0.8" inches
3' ft. - 1' ft.
4' ft. - 1.5' ft.
6' ft. - 2' ft.
7' ft. - 2.5' ft.
8' ft. - 3' ft.
10' ft. - 3.5' ft.
11' ft. - 4' ft.
12' ft. - 4.5' ft.
14' ft. - 5' ft.
16' ft. - 5.5' ft.
18' ft. - 6.5' ft.
20' ft. - 7' ft.

It is “suspected” (but not verified by Garmin) that the LiveScope beam is shaped more like below (actually getting narrower past a certain distance) ...

That would make since that there would be a power drop (get narrower) at some point; just like throwing a ball about half way out it starts to drop. I found this video helpful and at 25ft. out the video shows it is still getting a measurement of around 9ft. wide maybe even a little more, I only went out to 20ft but it is still in line with this test video.
