Is it possible to set up my finder for inhome use?....lol....I really would like to be able to power it up and play on it so I can get use to its functions better....I know the transducer can't be used indoors,,,or can it? Any of you guys ever try this before?...be cool to use as a teaching device too. Just wondering if it can be done,,,,,anyone?

I think most of them you can put into a demo mode and then play with settings and adjustments. Don’t ask me how to do it though...lol

I did it with my Lowrance Elite 5DSI unit ..... BUT, I had a 2nd power/tdx cord and a jumper battery that I hooked it to for power. If your tdx cord is separate from your power cord, then you'd only need a power cord & a battery.

First thing to check, if your tdx cord is connected to your power cord, is if running the tdx out of the water is OK to do. I ran my E5DSI unit turned on, while on the lake, even when the TM was stowed (the tdx was attached to the TM) and the info I read said it wouldn't hurt the tdx to run it "dry". And I never had any problems with it for all the years I used it that way. I do the same thing with my Hook 7 unit's tdx ... and just put the Garmin 93sv on "Pause" whenever I pull the TM up for a run to another spot.

Press the Menu button when you see the HB logo during startup ...

This should give a popup window that allows choosing Normal, Simulator, or System Status ...

Power cycle the unit to get out of Simulator ...

You need a 12V 3A "wall wart", or other suitable 12V power supply, and an extra power cable to power it up at your desk. I just run the head, and leave the transducer on the boat.
