I use adjustable bungee cord. Works fine.
I have a MK PD V2 on my boat. Long story short, I got the trolling motor on a close out deal and the shaft is probably a touch longer than needed on my boat, but it is what it is. I’ve got the “t-rail” system on my boat, and was thinking of adding some kind of support for the shaft and head that I could mount in the T-rail, maybe with a ram mount, and then attach/clamp to the trolling motor shaft to prevent it bouncing around when going down the road. Hopefully I explained that right, I will try to get some pictures to better explain if not. Has anyone done anything similar?

I use a Velcro strap as I have an boat cleat right below the stowed head. Just keeps it from bouncing while trailering.

Here are your ram mounts. You can then create a T rail mount to attach it to or just create a couple of T bolts to mount base to.
Trolling Motor Stabilizers
go with the ram mounts and the claw fixture on the end instead of the hose clamp end, much easier to use
