    Default Yamaha 175 show outboard-trim

Can anyone help me regarding installing a trim gauge. I bought a new boat but no trim gauge so I`m trying to install one.
    It is a 2019 Yamaha 4 stroke 175.hp.
I look under my dash for what I`m told should be a pink wire? I did find one but when I hook it to the S- terminal and run trim up and down I get nothing?

Thank you if there is anyone who can help.

My thoughts also. Only one wire was mentioned in the original post. No ground would certainly prevent it from working

I`m sorry, yes I have a ground I piggy backed from another gauge ground terminal and a positive I piggy backed from another gauge that comes on when the ignition is turned on. Thats what the instruction sheet said to do, but it gave no clue as to the wire that hooks to the terminal marked with a S on the gauge, meaning trim switch terminal.
