I have a GPX waypoint file i created using google earth way points (converted to GPX format). When i open it on my android phone, i do not get an option to open it with FishSmart app. i only get the option to open with Navionics App. the file imported successfully into Active captain. Any advice?
Also if anyone has better options to share waypoints between apps and units, i am using Navionics on my phone, Garmin on the bow for LS, and Helix 10 at the helm for structure and some mapping.
Thanks,
JM

Okay. I tried a few different things. Maybe the file was corrupted on converting from Google earth to gpx. I moved the file and renamed it. Then at least fishsmart showed as an option to open the file but got an import error message.
Finally uploaded to navionics and then exported a new file from navionics. Then it uploaded to fishsmart just fine.
What conversion software are people using to convert Google earth way points to GPX? I used babel.
I also use gpsbabel for certain applications ...
