Jumper from negative of battery 1 to negative of battery 2 (no negatives go to the Perko) ...
Leave your motor ground connected to the starting battery ...
Leave your fuse panel ground connected to the electronics battery ...

Got the medium duty Perko switch. I have a dedicated battery (1) for electronics that goes to a 6 fuse bus with electronics attached and a dedicated battery (2) for cranking and console accessories (livewell etc). I see that i need a hot from electronics battery to position 1 on the switch. I need a hot from cranking battery to position 2 on switch. I need a hot from motor to common on switch and a hot from electronics bus to common on switch. I need a "common ground from each battery, the motor and the bus correct? Where do i get this ground post and where is the best place to put it. Switch will be right beside batteries on the rod box.
Thanks

I know the negatives don’t go to switch but do they go anywhere?where does the negative from the engine go just to battery one?and then the negative for the accessory bus go to battery two? The video I watched had all of the negatives going to a ground post that was separate I just don’t understand I don’t want to blow everything.
If I’m understanding you right just connect a negative jumper from battery to battery and that’s good?

Yessir ... leave your negatives where they are and add a jumper from negative post to negative post ...

OK I’ll give that a try I thought that’s what I have seen before but when I watch the video it was very clear that they had a separate ground post for everything grounded and I don’t have such a thing on my boat
