    Default HELP WITH PERSPECTIVE

WOULD SOMEONE WHO HAS PERSPECTIVE UP AND RUNNING AND GETTING GOOD IMAGES FROM IT PLEASE P.m. me with a phone number so I can get some guidance. Sorry for the caps. I just got summit's perspective mount installed and works like a charm as far as I can tell but the pics. I'm getting are terrible. My livescope works great so know it's not the unit and i get a perspective view but the imagery is basically useless . Not sure if it's my settings . i didn't have long to play around with it today but nothing I tried gave me any kind of useful imagery. Tried tweaking all the usual settings gain, TVG, noise reject nothing seemed to work. Tried turning gain way down and everything else I could think of but if what I saw is all you get perspective is garbage. Sorry I don't know how to post pics but I can send them to someone if you pm me. Looking shallow at brush I knew was there couldn't even identify it as brush. Did see a couple of blobs moving that was obviously fish but it's nothing I would use if that's as good as it get's. But again to be fair only had about 45 minutes to play around with it. Scott

I tried mine for the first time yesterday. I found that if i was in shallow water (less than 10 ft) that it gave me great images. Water 15ft deep really didnt look right and hard to see fish.

Didn't really change a lot. TVG off. I think it may have something to do with the angle of the transducer. Haven't got the Garmin mount yet. I made a mount and I can bend it to project close or further out according to the depth.

This is kinda like trying to tell a guy what kind of woman he needs. So many different mounts used by different fishermen for different species. If you talk to 100 different livescope users you might get 100 different opinions.

I am no expert on livescope YET. But here is what I have learned so far. The few constants I have found that apply to this technology.

    1. This is not a set once and done deal. Constant adjustments are needed unless you remain in one spot all day.
    2. Angle means one heck of a lot especially in perspective mode. For instance the deeper the water the more you want to tilt downward.
    3. Different species require different priorities. Bottom hugging fish like walleye and perch the down view may be the best to use. While crappie that readily suspend the perspective or forward view might be best.

A little more specific info. If you discover an angle setting that works great for your type of fishing. Mark the mount so you can easily return it to the exact same setting. Join BBC ( bass boat central ) go to the Garmin Forum and look for postings by a LWinchester. Head and shoulders above any others on the use of livescope.
