    Default Garmin Livescope Question

I would like one of these units after fishing with one but fear with the fact Garmin is offering a $200 rebate on these transducers something new is coming soon. Anyone heard anything or shall I just pull the trigger?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

The "something new" coming soon may have already arrived ... the Perspective Mount

Even if there's a "more better" Livescope system or component coming soon, how "soon" could that possibly be and what's the likelihood that the current transducer is going to be discontinued ?? And there is a possibility that the $200 rebate was simply a way to get those "on the fence" people to go ahead & commit to purchasing, thinking they were getting a deal that the original price buyers didn't get. In that respect I'm thinking along the lines of the Garmin GPS (vehicle GPS) of many years ago, where you had to pay to update the maps .... then the same basic GPS units are now being sold at/near the same prices & updates are free. Maybe they weren't selling enough units and/or people weren't paying the yearly update fees (which were about the same price as some units could be bought new), so they threw in the free updates to get people to ditch their old units and buy a new one ?? I sure did !!

I know this current rebate certainly has me wanting to purchase one. I want to pull the trigger, but still hesitant.

There’s always going to be something new and in development every single season/year. Even if something new comes out, I can’t see the price of the current transducer/set up falling all that much, even as much as I would love for it to do so. I say if you’ve got the cash to spare, order it. I know I would tomorrow if I could.
