Sorry for the boat troubles but sounds like you will eventually have a very awesome fishing platform. Looking forward to seeing updates. Good luck.
First off, Happy New Year everyone. I have learned a lot from this group and hope to keep that going with my plans for upgrading my electronics over the next couple months. Thanks for Brian at BBG Marine for working with me.
When I bought my Lowe in 2015 I added two Helix 10 Si and DI units. Then a year later upgraded the TM to a 36v Ulterra. I have big plans for 2020 to update all this and will hopefully accomplish depending on funds. First I have to work thru a repair with Lowe to fix my deck surface where the TM mounts. It appears my boat is not the first to have this issue. Once that is done I have them Phase I upgrade ready to go. A 36v Ultrex iPilot Link with Mega DI TD. I am looking forward to the ability to have both cable and remote steer and all the other fancy stuff my Ulterra has.
More to follow in the rest of the upgrades but I think phase 2 will be a Bird mega DI unit to mount up front. Then other items I want to do is adding LiveScope, unit, double monitor mount, new TM batteries, battery/power setup up front for bow units, and Bird mega SI unit in console.
I am sure I will screw a couple things up and possible break something in the process but I like doing my own work. Especially when I have access to all the knowledge on this forum.
Happy New Year and May it bring you all many thumps.

Get a Ram Mount trolling motor stabilizer. Use it anytime you’re not using the troller. Going down the lake, driving down the road, whenever. That should keep that from happening.
