I have the carbon 7 and the Xi5 connected with nema 2000. That's how I know my trolling speed and trolling motor output. When I bought my 8610xsv and live scope, I also bought the garmin heading sensor and connected it to the existing nema network. The Garmin unit recognizes the heading sensor so it does work.
But, I do have a problem that I haven't had time to troubleshoot yet. I have some noise interference on my Garmin when using my 2D, clear view, and side view. Livescope is fine and the interference only happens when I run my trolling motor. The crazy part is my trolling motor is at the front of the boat and the batteries. My garmin unit is at the helm and my transducer is on the transom. I can't get any further distance between them. So, I'm thinking it's because I tied in to that existing nema 2000. My plan is to disconnect the garmin from the nema network the next time I'm on the water. I'll post my results here. If that turns out to be where my interference is coming from then I'll have to run two seperate nema networks. ¯\_(?)_/¯ Well see.
