Get a side mount, you will not regret it. Mounting on troll motor makes it tough to stay on target. Been there and done it.
Has anyone mounted it to a xi5 motor guide. I don't see how to secure the cable since the shaft slides all the way up and down to deploy. The instructions say to attach cables to shaft. My guess is I will have to mount it separate from the trolling motor. Looking for ideas.

you don't want your livescope on your trolling motor ,, Let the TM do it's thing ( spot lock) and use a separate mount for
your Livescope transducer. Look up Poleducer and fishing specialties, they both make good mounts ,
there may be others out there.

Rickie makes an outstanding product called the Da Ducer. Professionally designed and built. Podunkideas.com. I have used it for many months and it is perfect for pointing exactly where you want it and it deploys and stows like a dream. Just saying...

I have another da’ducer apparatus® model (just recently released) ... which can easily be used with a Ram mount or other quick type holding clamp ...
