I put my boat in the river as the sun came up this morning... That was about 7:00 o'clock my time. I fished for about five and half hours with only one bite. I bet I used six or seven different colors. I jigged. I used jig under bobber. I was so frustrated. I could see the fish on my fish finder. I had given up and was motoring to the ramp and saw my uncle skulling close to a lay down. He gestured the "how many" gesture to me. I shot back a zero and eased over his way. I watched him pull out about three crappie in less than ten minutes. My uncle doesn't use a fish finder. Doesn't use a TROLLING MOTOR!!! But there he was grinning ear to ear pulling eaters out of the water. He gave me a few of the jigs he was using, moved down about ten yards so I could have his spot and watched me catch my first fish of the day on the jig he had just given me.

I left thinking I'm making it way too difficult.
