Helix 7 Mega si g3 VS Helix 9 Si g1

Looking at a new helix 7 or used 9 for about the same money. Which would y’all recommend??

As mentioned above but if that 9 is the same price as new 7 it is way over priced you should be able to find 1198 or 1199 for $600 or less helix 12 Gen 1 for around $800. If you use SI a lot then to me screen size is everything if not then it is a wash.

Have never used SI but that is my main reason for upgrading units. I mostly fish around docks and feel the SI would be helpful for finding fish. The used helix 9 I am considering is priced at 550, I thought that was pretty fair? I can get a new helix 7 mega si for around 600. Didn’t know if the mega on a smaller screen would be better than the 9 g1

You may not like my answer. Neither one!
To me the 7" unit is just too small of a screen for a side imaging unit. And I would not buy an older non mega unit for the same price.
I would save a few more dollars for at least a 9" mega side mango unit.
