What is the full model number of your Helix unit .... is it 2D/GSP only or SI / DI? The 800 Khz is a DI or SI setting.
The 200/83 is a 2D setting. 200 would be for the most detail and 83 would be for more coverage area.
I was watching 3 lb. crappie about the Helix . For searching brush tops he said to use 800 k setting . my GEN 1 has 83,200, or 83/200 . which should I use ?

Looking for the one that makes it all worthwhile.
Change the "Connected Transducer" selection (under the Sonar tab) to "Hi Def Sidescan" ...
Then you should have the 800kHz option in the "Imaging Frequency" selections ...
In all Sonar technologies ...:
*Higher frequency gives more detail with less coverage ...
*Lower frequency give more coverage with less detail ...
-----
In the 2d Sonar frequency choices - 83/200kHz gives a blended view of the wider 83kHz Sonar cone and the narrower 200kHz Sonar cone in the same 2d image ...

May need to upgrade the transducer. Believe the Helix 9 SI GPS (Gen1) model came with the compact transducer (XNT 9 SI 180 T).
