I feel like this is probably a dumb question but I simply don't know the answer so here goes....is my Garmin 93SV waterproof? Is it ok to leave exposed to rain on my boat? And if I have removed the unit from the mount, will water ruin the electronic pin connectors exposed on the unit mount? Thanks for any help!

My boat stays on the water 24/7. My connectors are exposed to the weather as I remove the electronics after use. Biggest problem I have is dirt daubers and spiders. These creatures poop on/in the connectors. I clean connectors with tooth paste and a tooth brush when needed and rinse and let drip dry. I also use a pencil eraser where it is possible to clean contacts.
At one time in history, most quality marine connectors use gold flash pins. I am not sure what is used today.

Not sure if I am following exactly, but when you pop the unit out of the cradle you have a rubber boot to put over the contact pin female assy. The contacts from the cables to the cradle I would think would be fine since you have snugged the nuts on them. I stay out in the rain with my 93 w/o a problem
i leave my lowrance on my boat most of the time. i cover it with a large zip lock baggy
