Default My Livescope transducer mounting system

This is blind engineering at this point since my Livescope system is back ordered, but I problem solving anyway.

I figured out a way to mount the transducer to my boat, I think better and cheaper than all of the systems I've seen from the vendors. Basically, I bought a 60" Minn Kota composite shaft, a Minn Kota endura transom bracket, and two depth adjustment collars. The transom mount fits perfectly on my gunwale, the shaft will be 26" above the gunwale and 34" below the gunwale which just clears the bottom of the hull. the top collar holds this depth, the bottom collar will be just above the transducer and protects the transducer when I raise it up. it will fold over across the bow for transport. I think I am going to run the cable inside the shaft and get a pvc fitting drilled out top and bottom to protect the cable at the shaft ends. $77 total including shipping.

    Here are the part numbers:

Minn Kota Trolling Motor Part - COLLAR-DEPTH (ENDURA) - 2061520
    2061520 2 $1.44 USD $2.88 USD

Minn Kota Trolling Motor Part - ENDURA TRANSOM MOUNT BRACKET 2991815A / 2771818
    2991815A 1 $24.04 USD $24.04 USD

Minn Kota Trolling Motor Part - SCREW-COLLAR/NEW KNOB - 2011365
    2011365 2 $0.97 USD $1.94 USD

Minn Kota Trolling Motor Part - TUBE (COMPOSITE) 60" - 2032074
    2032074 1 $28.77 USD $28.77 USD

    I bought them online from:

Let me know what you think.

Would love to see it. No Facebook, though. U.S. knows enough about me (smile)

That is a good price on that bracket. It is $43 on Amazon

I'd consider adding the inner and outer handles and the control box and cover. Looks to be about $25 more if ordered from Minn Kota.

Good thought! I was just planning to use pvc fittings and pipe and build a handle.

Thats exacly what I did and the PVC works great. 3/4" schedule 40 grey PVC with a sweetping 90 for the handle, found at lowes for less than $15. It fits perfectly in the Endura bracket. I have about $50 in the whole set up.
Dosen't look as good as the high dollar mounts but works great if you want to save a couple bucks.

The battery is a 30 ah Motorcycle battery for a Harley.

The wiring diagram for hooking up the panoptix transducer assumes the 93sv is already mounted and powered, they leave the power cable for the screen off of their wiring diagram, it was confusing.

If you decide to mount livescope on your RT188, I think putting it in the forward box makes a lot of sense. Couple of details, you have to notch out the metal under the lid enough to drop the box in the ho;e with the cables already pulled through. Use flathead screws to mount the GLS10 unit to the side of the box, otherwise the screw heads will stop the box from going in.
