Anyone figure out how to mount a all in one transducer on front of boat? If I fabricate a bracket to mount on shaft of trolling motor, how bad will shaft interfere with side image?

I saw one a month or so ago. Really didn’t investigate it. But he had fabricated a bracket that had it about a foot above motor. Pointing straight out front when motor was centered pointing forward. Didn’t appear SI or DI would be bothered.

That's what I was thinking. It would have to be out front far enough to clear cone part of motor. which means it would stick out about a foot in front. Be ok in open water, might not be good if fishing brush or stumps.

Get one of these. Rickie can build you the right adapter for your ducer. Then all you have to do is tilt it in boat when in rough stuff

I know the perfectionists on here will beat me up on this. I used pvc pipe mounted on the front of the boat, I pull it off when running down the lake, it works fine at low speed . I like it to see what is coming up, I don’t care what has already went behind the boat.
