Using the Lakemaster gives you a bunch of features on your Humminbird that the Navionics doesn't.
I fish the big four lakes in northern Mississippi and am wondering which map card would be best to use in my Humminbird units Navionics or Lakemaster. I have researched online and it seems to be a toss up. Just wanting to get some feedback from the folks that fish the same waters as I do.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

No toss up. Lakemaster is only way to go on the big 4. #1 they are the most recent survey. Making them the most accurate. The color shading for different water depths. Plus the ability to change water depth so your chart shows actual depth right now. That’s the feature I like the most. Soon as I put boat in water I motor to a spot on chart that shows a depth number then I compare that to what finder is showing. If different I adjust chart depth to match which then adjusts entire chart to current depth. In valuable on the big 4 as much as water fluctuates.

Helix models can't share map cards. So I use both but much more prefer LKM over Navionics with the added capabilities.
Dumb question, the Lakemaster Southeast card Version 5 just came out with Bay Springs on it which I've been waiting for. I want upgrade from Ver 4. If I swap out only my map cards, will my waypoints still cross over if that makes sense? The waypoint are saved on my Helix units right, not the actual map cards themselves?
Jmbrewer. You are right they are on your unit but it would be wise to get an extra sd card from Wally World or some where and down load your waypoint points just in case your until ever goes out ! Their is a way to send em to your I phone if you have one but I’m not that smart yet! Lake master is better here especially onany of the HD lakes !
Awesome. Thank you!
Yes sir, they are stored on your unit. I suggest doing as slab said and exporting all of your waypoints to a blank SD card (has to be 32gb or less) and use humminbird pc to store and organize them on your computer. Always good to have a back up!
I've definitely been waiting for them to add Bay Springs
Is Lakemaster required for IPilot Link's ability to "follow contour" or can you "follow contour" with the Navionics map card too?
