How do you fish, many put it on the tm but that did not work for me. If you fish tops or docks and use your tm to stay on structure moving the tm changes your screen way to much. There are mounts to put it on the side of your boat to allow you to hand control where you look. But it has to be close enough to reach the mount without you moving much. I got mine from fishing specialties and it works well, a little high for pipe and plastic but what the unit cost put something that works for you. Hope this helps. Try it on the tm first that is quick, then go from there. If you are in north al pm me might be close enough to look.

I used an old foot controlled trolling motor that I stripped the "foot" off to mount my LS to. I used one piece of the bracket that the old motor came with and fab-ed up a mount which tilts and swivels. I tilt up the old TM shaft, then swivel it back onto the deck to stow the LS ducer. I didn't want to take up too much deck space with that old TM bracket.
