check the water line on the side of your boat and make sure the 'ducer is in line with it. You might have to live with it OR you can put a manual lift to get the motor farther away from the back of the boat.
Just got a Garmin 93sv echomap plus and tried it out yesterday for the first time. The left beam appears to be hitting my motor. My boat is not big and has a 9.9 on it. Not a whole lot of options as far as where to mount the transducer. I had to completely lift the motor out of the water to get it to be clear of it. Anyone have experience being able to correct thois? I'm wondering if i'm going to have to just live with this. Since I had to left the motor completely out of the water could it be that the transducer angled up when sitting in the water?

wannabe is correct that aligning your xducer with the water line on your boat is a good way to make sure the xducer is parallel with the water's surface ...
Outboard lower unit blockage is a common challenge with SI xducers on a transom with no jack plate to move the motor back out the SI beam ..
Tilting the motor up usually eliminates SI blockage ...
Do do you have anything mounted to the opposing side of the transom ..(ladder, speed sensor, another xducer, live well screen) ...??

You can install a second SI transducer on the opposite side, buy a Y cable to split the signal and have a clean shot both ways.
Here are some photos. The one that shows good structure around a dock is deeper water. The other two are one with motor down and one with motor up.

Can you post a pic of the transom area?Would it be possible for you to mount the transducer on the transom mount trolling motor?
The trolling motor comes on and off. Not going to be possible plus I need to run it when trolling motor is not down. This is a 1973 Mon ark. Nothing fancy. Someone suggested I take the hyrdrofoil off since it's just a 9.9 motor so I did that yesterday. It was on there when I bought the motor.
