By now you have have already had your Garmin on the water. If so, I am sure you are amazed at the quality of the unit. I turned mine on last night in the boat shed and just took a tour of the menu. After touching a few screens I had many features set, and contrary to what some have posted, I did not lose any preferred setting when I turned it back on. There is a guy on Walleye Central, who goes by LWinches, and is a Garmin guru. Look him up and read his posts. You'll learn a lot, in fact, he convinced me that Garmin was a real player. I am not into all the tech stuff that many are. This Garmin we have is smarter than I'll ever be able to comprehend. But the simplicity, coupled with quality, makes it so user friendly. Now if only I could put one of my La Z Boys in the boat I would never come off the water!
