Just a guess but usually the way the transducer is tipped plays part in the arches . tip the transducer down a little farther and the n look at the arch or vice versa.good luck
When running 2D sonar,how do you get your best images such as arches on targeted fish.
Traditional 200KHZ?
Low Chirp?
High Chirp
Or any other setting or a combination of?
On any size fish at any depth all I get is round blobs no arches.
All updates have been performed.

Wider 2d Sonar cones (83kHz, Low or Med CHIRP) are even more susceptible to creating defined arches because the target is in the Sonar cone coverage even longer ...
