    I have a helix 10 g2n DI unit on the bow of my boat. It’s a non mega unit. Bought it new in March 2017. Noticed about a month ago my down imaging didn’t look like it was working. I called up rvinc (Rickie) and he helped me a bunch. Walked me through a lot of different things to try. When none of em helped anything, he came to conclusion it was either something wrong with my transducer or something wrong in the head unit itself, and I should call humminbird.

    I called humminbird and explained situation and they agreed, ducer or head unit. They sent me a new xtm 9 wide di 20 t transducer. They said if new ducer fixed it, great- keep it, no charge, and I didn’t need to call em back. If it didn’t fix down imaging, then to call em back, and I would need to send the new ducer back along with my helix 10 head unit.

    After I installed new ducer & tested, nothing changed. So I called humminbird back. Asked them how much it would cost for them to fix unit. It comes with a 1 year warranty, so it was almost a year out of warranty. They told me that they would fix it this one time for free out of warranty. All it ended up costing me was $16 shipping to mail unit & ducer back to them.

    Got my helix 10 back in about a week. Note from humminbird said repaired circuit board and updated software. Tested it, down imaging is working great now. Thought that was awfully good customer service by humminbird.

    I’ll post some pics from where it wasn’t working before and some from now when it is, and a 360 pic. I would have never been able to trouble shoot the problem without Rickie’s help.
