I saw the same unit yesterday and after much thought decided it was probably overkill for me.
I'm in the market for a new fish finder. I've been thinking I would wait till I see the Garmin echomap plus 73sv on sale for $500 like I saw last month. Today I see this one Cabela's Online Store - Quality Hunting, Fishing, Camping and Outdoor Gear
Does anyone know how the mapping on this compares to the echomap plus mapping? Any of these units are probably a little overkill for my little 16 foot 1973 Mon Arc but the bird I have on it right now has a problem. I was thinking the Garmin if found at the right price was a good all around unit for me with good mapping already built in but now I'm thinking this might be good.

I bought that same unit. Don't have it mounted yet but have powered it up in the garage and it seems like a good unit. Pretty easy to use and the Nav+ maps are pretty good. I think you'll like it.

need to do some checking on this model. If what I read is true , only the totalscan model has structure scan. If side scan is important then you may want to wait and make sure that you get what you think you are getting . Just a thought, and i could be all wet........crappie1133
Look on West Marine website, they got some units on clearance too
