I am puzzled why the brushless motor has been left in the dark for so long.
Might pay to wait a little while.
Lowrance will be announcing theirs at ICAST.
Whether it will be of interest to crappie fishermen or not remains to be seen, but it will certainly stir up the market and may result in some used motors for sale.
Just speculating, but if I was going to try to break into the TM market and had Navico's money behind me, it would have GPS integrated, electric steering and it would use a brushless motor designed to save battery power and eliminate interference with electronics. We'll see.
Teaser video with no information but a shadowed picture and a note saying to come back on March 15th for more information.

Here's a couple pictures of what it looks like. They were posted on BBC last week and then taken down by the moderators.

Glad to hear the other 2 will have some competition.
I’m still a little disappointed my new Minn Kota was not any quieter than my old beat up one

Hummm, I’m wondering if they work with a Humminbird or garmin unit?

I don't like the thick cable to the foot pedal - I love my MK I-Pilot remote. Since I got the motor (Terrova) I have not used the foot pedal once.
"Alive without breath, as cold as death; never thirsty, ever drinking, all in mail never clinking."
I bought a terrova and came from factory with a bent prop shaft. Used it twice and been in the shop for a month now. Parts of course are on back order. Not happy with my terrova.
It’s ugly enough anyway.
