    Default Helix 7 question

while using side scan the display doesn't show the dark line I center that shows depth and boat path. Something has changed because it was there. Also I have lost the bottom for side scan outside the boat path. It shows some structure, but not a hardline for bottom

You might try Restore Defaults to see if that helps.

Under your "enhance" menu tab in SI, check to see if you've somehow changed the "contour mode" from off to on.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Check to see if you accidently put it on left or right view only.

This sounds like you may have turned the contour mode on. This is located at the bottom in the SI Enhance settings. But if all else fails to work just do the default
    reset.
