    Default Garmin Striker 7sv

I have a Garmin Striker 7sv. I’m thinking about moving the transducer to the bow. Ideas on mounting? Thoughts on how it will work? Will it scan any at all ahead of the boat or just even with the front?
    Thanks in advance
    SH

From what I understand, 2d sonar is cone shaped and will project forward. DI and SI are thin and only project side to side.

That being said, with a trolling motor mount you can turn the motor sideways and get a forward image with with DI.
Thanks Sickle Hook thanked you for this post

Mine are on the trolling motor, and the transom (cv52's). As said above- you can "look" forward by turning the trolling motor. Keep in mind, when you do this, the image will be distorted for a few seconds.
The units (73sv+) came with both transom and trolling motor mounts. Not sure what comes with strikers.
If your transducer will not fit your motor, their are lots of options available.
Might want to test fit / measure it first.

Used a trolling motor mount, pvc, zipties. on my jon boat. Garmin 7SV with GT transducer. Comes apart and can use the Garmin screen anywhere on the boat.
