I HOLD A 2X4 ON THE BOTTOM OF BOAT SO TRANSDUCER IS EVEN TO BOTTOM . the SLOTS IN BRACKET THEN ALLOWS ABOUT A 1/2 INCH ADJUSTMENT HIGHER IF DESIRED . JMO

Hard to tell, but it looks like it's a little too low. You don't want to take a chance on getting it knocked off! Also, if it's too low you'll get a big "rooster tail".

Just my two cents, but on an aluminum boat when mounting a transducer use a transducer mounting board. Basically PVC board you can get at Home Depot or Lowes, comes in 8 foot lengths and is 6" or so wide. You use marine grade epoxy to mount it to your hull / transom and can adjust it side to side or up and down with out putting a bunch of holes in your transom. I did this on an old G3 and it worked fantastic and just happened it was a Helix 7 SI transom ducer I mounted, not that really matters.
