Default Using CHIRP finders with US2 transducer

I am in the market for a bow unit to use with my US2 on my Terrova. Main reason is to get GPS up front. Will that transducer support CHIRP.

Following! I know it worked with an HB 5" helix but not sure about chirp. However, all you get is standard 2 D sonar with the US2, none of the features like down imaging work on the US 2.

CHIRP is new to me. But I think it uses multiple freq 2d sonar to generate a 3d picture. Just not sure if US2 supports multiple freq

Not sure all CHIRP units are created equal but for Humminbird it can work for 2D or DualBeam 83/200khz. Just need an adapter cable for the US2 to match your unit. The required adapter cables are listed on the MinnKota website for most units.

I'm in the same boat. I want one up front but I don't want to have to rig a transducer on my Ulterra or have to use another system....

For the life of me, I don't understand why Minn Kota doesn't have an option to get a transducer on their TM's that will run a MEGA. Makes no logical sense at all.

US2 is a waste of money in my mind if you use anything more than regular 2D sonar. It does NOT support anything else.

US2 is minimal, at best. I got an after market mount system on my Ulterra for my Mega transducer and it is fantastic. Rickie can point out pros and cons of the mounting systems, a couple of which are sold by sponsors. I removed the US2 and pitched it.

I run a Helix 7 sonar/GPS Chirp on my US2. Works fine. I read that the US2 would actually harm a DI unit.
