Is it worth getting one with the built in transducer if your buying a new one.I run lowrance and humminbird up front,but would only be useing us2 for 2d on my lowrance.I have all my other transducers mounted on rickys transducer apperatus,thanks

I have run 3 different units on straight 2d on mine with no problem. Don't know what price difference is but lot less hassle than running cord up shaft especially Lowrance which would have to be mounted outside or on another bracket.

I have lss1 and 360 mounted on one of rickys brackets.Would only be using with my lowrance 2d ,think it would be easier than mountung a transducer if it worked good.Not much difference price wise.

I would use the us2 if i was only looking for 2d. If they would make a version that had universal di and 2d transducer I would buy. That would make life a lot more simple.

Get the US2 if for no other reason than resale down the road

I use the US2 on my HDS unit and it works great. Love the fact that its no loose wires just plug and play
