I just put a precision sonar cable on my new terrova. It's that or a transducer mount. I've heard you can remove the lift assist, but there goes your warranty

Good morning fellow crappie fisherman! I need some advice....I'm buying a Minn Kota Terrova this coming Monday and and I want to install my Lowrance Hook 7 transducer on it. Minn Kota said I wont be able to secure the transducer cable to the shaft because of the "stow away assist" that the Terrova has. Has anyone ran into this issue, if so, can I ask what you ended up doing?? I hate to put it on the back of the boat since the fishfinder is on the bow..... Thanks in advance guys!

Thanks Locator79! I found the Precision cable guard online. It looks like that's the way to go. I appreciate your help.
And it works great on my Ulterra too!
