    Default Garmin 93sv striker plus

I bite the bullet today. I went to the bassmaster classic wanting to do research on sonar for the front of the boat. I was planning to sum up my internet search and get the 7 plus. However I got caught up in the moment I guess and walked out with the 9 plus. My wallet I think is crying but I think I will be happy with it. Eyes are getting worse and it was much easier to see. This is the most advanced electronics I have ever had on a boat. I then tried to find a mount for it. Nothing really at the show so went by Cabela’s. I’m getting everything mounted on the new boat on Monday and all they had were ram mounts. And very limited supply. I ended up with the 11.5 inch D mount. My wallet cried a little more. I wish I wouldn’t have waited to the last minute to find a mount but oh well I’ve had ram mounts before and never had a problem. Here is to learning a new way of fish finding.

    Rickie,
For some reason this time I’m hesitant to do the install myself. The boat is going to the dealer Monday for some warranty work. I’m going to get them to install. I will post some pictures when it’s done.

Might as well grab a Panoptix transducer while you are at it . It will probably be what I add next to my Garmin

    Good for you!
I saw this idea on another site, it's to tighten up your ram mount.

Skunked that looks pretty useful. My ram mount came with a wrench similar to that.

I have the 9 in 93 chirp on my pontoon and so far I have enjoyed it. I also have a 7 in garmin DI on the bow but have not really used it yet. Bought pontoon in November last year and I finally are finished with it. Waiting on wind to calm down to go look for structure on Murray and do some fishing.
