Thread: Xi5Motorguide nothing but TROUBLE!!!

I have been round and round with motorguide. Been to two authorized repair places got some parts replaced and still doesn't work right. Motorguide just wants me to keep taking to the repair shop. Been in the repair shop more than I have had it on the water. Keeps ramping to full speed when heading lock and cruise control are set

Do you by chance have it networked to a Linksys unit?

Linksys? It is networked through nema 2000 and the motorguide gateway

Sorry. I meant Lowrance. That's what I get for having four kids bouncing all around me.

Either way, I had this same issue. I was instructed to go in and clear some settings in the Lowrance unit. I didn't want to clear the settings but after several calls, I did and it fixed the problem.

I tried it today. I went out today and it still ramps to full speed on cruise control (mph). It is also in a different format now when using mph speed ex: 1.01, 0.89,0.80 an so on. I have link with gateway and gen 3 touch with 4.5 software.
