Default Opinions for bow fish finder

I’m looking around at a new fish finder for the bow. I have made up my mind on at least 9”, eyes aren’t what they used to be. My max budget only 800.00. Any suggestions appreciated. I’m looking hard at Humminbird Helix 9 Chirp GPS G2N at bass pro for 799.00 or Lowrance Hook2 9” Splitshot that comes with Navionics for 769.00. Any opinions on these two units or any other units. Might just be me but looking at then in the store Humminbirds look so much brighter and better looking screen but could just be lighting in the store or settings?

Are you wanting imaging and it’s just not in the budget or only want sonar? You might keep an eye out on for a gen1 unit, I found a Helix 9 SI GPS on amazon for around $650. I’ve only fished with it a few times but I really really like it so far. Crystal clear display and easy to see in the sun. Do you need networking ability? If not, the G2N may not be a necessity.

Thegpsstore.com has a garmin echomap chirp 93sv with transducer for $600. This would leave money to get a ram mount under it, and raise it even more. I did similar to this with a 73sv plus unit. Its high enough i barely have to bend over to touch it.
If you look at the features these units come with, i think you'll be tempted. Look around, you might find better deals.

Your welcome. That's the 2cnd generation model. First generation did not have chirp. 3rd generation has chirp and touch screen, they're called plus units. There's also the striker series, they're cheaper yet. Two generations of those also. Stiker plus, 2cnd gen, have quickdraw mapping capabilities (can record 2 million acres i believe). Both of the stiker series have base maps that you can store waypoints on. Both the striker and echomap units use the same transducer and have the same screen quality. The main difference between echomap and striker is the mapping.
