Default Interface between HDS7 and Tohatsu 20HP motor

My HDS 7 Gen 2 has screen displays for outboard engine functions. I am interested in having the tachometer function connected to my Outboard. (2018 Tohatsu 20HP)
What do I need to connect the tach leads of the motor to the HDS??

Well first off you would need a NMEA 2000 network and a interface box or cable for the 20hp. I would contact your local tohatsu dealer about the interface box or cable for your motor.

I'm guessing it would be cheaper to just add a tachometer. That's the only thing I was looking to have on the HDS.

That is what I ended up doing. No nema for 30hp Merc 4 stroke. I needed a tach to "pick me prop" with.

How did you get to try different props? Figured you had to buy one to try it, then if it's not right you stuck with it.
